Ripley’s Believe it or Not in Tennessee
If you are a fan of the Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museums, you will be happy to know to that there are quite a few in Gatlinburg. If you are an even bigger fan, then you know that they are all different. Each museum has something a little unique from the others around the country. Ripley’s is even expanding and including aquariums too. Travel to Gatlinburg to see your share of them. In fact, you can make it your vacation theme.
Ripley’s now has a Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokey’s located in Tennessee. This is a little different from his usual museums. This is a live one that has over ten thousand sea creatures swimming about. As you stroll through, watch sharks, sting rays and piranhas all swimming around eyeing you and thinking about their next meal. The Shark Lagoon is a 340 foot glide path that you can walk through. Go through this tunnel to see the sharks swimming about with thousands of other creatures. Get face to face with them, it will be the only time you won’t be scared too. If you want to touch a creature, the ray bay that is a shallow pond of swimming sting rays. Reach on in and pet one.
The next stop on your Ripley’s itinerary is the Ripley’s Haunted Adventure. Children entering here between the ages of six and eleven must be accompanied by an adult. You will see things in this museum that can’t even be talked about it. It is a chilling adventure and you must enter at your own risk. Dare to go inside, but remember that Ripley assumes no responsibility if you do not return.
If you do make it through the haunted Adventure, Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum is waiting for you. This museum is based on the adventures and travels of Robert Ripley. He traveled to over 200 countries and saw people and places that no one has ever heard of. This includes the tombs of the Ming Emperors in China and the town called Hell in Norway. He has taken all these things he has seen and brought them to a museum for you. You and your family will see the greatest collection of oddities you have ever seen. Every museum is different. So what you may have seen in another state will be different than what you see in Tennessee.
