American Roots – The Country Music Hall of Fame. There are thousands of things to see and do in Nashville, Tennessee.  However, the Country Music Hall of Fame is one of the most popular options for visitors of all ages.  Much like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio, the Country Music Hall of Fame offers fans an in depth look at the stars behind the music they love.  This amazing venue is home to rich musical heritage, as well as memorabilia from some of the greats of our past and present.

The Hall is home to numerous exhibits, featuring the history of country music, as well as the heritage that gave rise to it.  Exhibits like Sing Me Back Home – A Journey through Country Music offer fans an incredible look at the history of country music.  The Hall of Fame Rotunda provides members a stylish way for fans to view their images.  Here, all country music stars are equal. Some amazing art is found in the Rotunda, such as The Sources of Country, by Thomas Hart Benton.

Changing exhibits allow fans of every type to enjoy their favorite artists. Kitty Wells is one of the current lineup, scheduled to be around until June of 2009.  The Williams Family Tradition exhibit is slate to run from March 2008 through December of 2009. There are many more exhibits slated to open and even traveling exhibits that premiere in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The list of inductees is incredible.  Artists like Tom T. Hall and Emmylou Harris, George Strait, Sonny James, Vince Gill, Porter Wagoner, Bill Anderson, Don Gibson and Ken Nelson can be found.  You’ll easily be able to find your favorite star’s name and other interesting information here. In addition, you’ll find tours departing from the Hall on a daily basis.  Take a trip to RCA Studio B and get a look at some of the most incredible history in country music. This is the studio where Elvis, Chet Atkins and the Everly Brothers recorded their great hits.

Hatch Show Print is a traveling Smithsonian show currently at the Country Music Hall of Fame.  This exhibit allows you to explore the amazing world of graphic arts.  The Hatch brothers began their printing in 1879 and the tradition continues to run strong today. Another current exhibit is the Buddy Spicher salute, slated for late August in 2008, which offers a look at this legendary fiddle player.
